What is Art Therapy?
Art therapy is a method of psychotherapy or expressive arts that helps facilitate the expression of feelings. You don’t have to be good at art to benefit from art therapy, as the focus is on the art process and not on the art product. The art therapist and client can use a variety of art mediums such as painting, drawing, collage, construction, clay, sculpture, and other.

Jill has a background with many years experience in nursing, as well as being a Therapist and Artist. Being a professional Art Therapist registered with CATA (Canadian Art Therapy Association), Jill is very experienced working with all ages and cultures, as well as with clients experiencing a diverse variety of issues. She has worked with individuals living with mental health issues, brain injuries, psychological and physical trauma, grief and loss.
Jill has conducted Art Therapy Services at RUH Acute Care Pediatrics, Saskatoon Open Door Society, Saskpolytechnic LINK program, and Autism services.

Benefits of Art Therapy
Jill paints primarily with pastels, however works with acrylic and graphite as well. Her family and nature provides much of her inspiration. She has done a variety of subjects including; portraits, wildlife, and landscapes. She's willing to draw or paint commission pieces.

Jill Scott BSN DKATI
Jill possesses a Bachelors Degree in Nursing (with 20 years experience) as well as a Masters Equivalent Diploma in Art Therapy. She has additional training in Trauma Informed Art Therapy, and Grief and Loss.
Jill provides individual and group art therapy sessions. She is only seeing adults at this point in time and all sessions are online.
